Russia to lift restrictions on import of all citrus fruit, pears and plums from Turkey
Russia will lift restrictions on import of all citrus fruit, pears and plums from Turkey, assistant head of Russian phytosanitary watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor Alexei Alexeenko told TASS on Monday.
"These are all citrus fruit and drupes, traditional fruit for Turkey - pears, plums, etc.," Alexeenko said.
Fruits will be supplied to Russia from regions free from quarantine pests and from large enterprises, Alekseenko said.
"We hold negotiations with our Turkish colleagues last week and agree that we will resume supplies from regions having no quarantine pests and major companies capable of ensuring safety under our supervision," he added.
