Cherry prices down year-on-year in Crimea
The cherry price range has widened in Crimea, according to Fruit-Inform, and prices are now lower year-on-year.
In particular, sellers from Krymsky Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol, offer cherries at RUB 100-260/kg (USD 1.77-4.59/kg). Such a price revision is connected with a decrease in prices of early varieties, which are not in high demand. Meanwhile, the local market participants recently started offering later varieties, which are in higher demand.
It should also be noted that current cherry prices are now 20% lower year-on-year, and the majority of Crimean market players expect them to continue to go down in view of abundant supply of seasonal fruits and berries.
