Poland: prices of apples for processing down
Polish growers are forced to reduce their prices for apples for processing, according to Fruit-Inform. As a result, they have decreased by 13% since the beginning of November.
Now prices vary between 0.19-0.20 euro/kg, while in early November they reached 0.23 euro/kg.
The market analysts connect a decrease in prices with weakening demand for apples for processing in Poland, as the majority of processors have already finished purchasing raw produce.
Nevertheless, despite negative trend, current prices are still averagely three times as high as in the same period of the previous year.
