Ukrainian food industry eyes Singaporean market
On January 23, Ukrainian exporters presented their products and held bilateral meetings with Singapore food industry representatives. The event was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine to Singapore along with the leading business organizations such as Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association.
During the event, the Exporters and Investors Council under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association have signed the Memorandum of Understanding. On behalf of the SFMA, the MOU was signed by Mr. Thomas Pek, the President of the Association. On behalf of the Exporters and Investors Council under the MFA of Ukraine, the MOU was signed by His Excellency Dmytro Senik, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore. The MOU is aimed at promoting contacts between the industries of the two countries.
Speaking at the event, His Excellency Dmytro Senik has emphasized Singaporean business‘s high interest to Ukrainian foodstuffs. According to the Ambassador, “the MOU between the Exporters and Investors Council and the Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association will give a boost to business relationships between manufacturers from Ukraine and Singapore”.
