Sales of animals and poultry in Ukraine in Jan.-Jul. dropped 5.2 pc from last year

According to State Statistics Committee, sales of animals and poultry for slaughter in Ukraine in the first seven months of 2004 dropped 5.2 percent from the same months of last year - to 1.29 million tonnes.

Production of milk in January-July this year made 8.16 million tonnes, which is 1.6 percent less than in the same months of 2003.

Production of eggs over the period slightly increased - by 1.2 percent from January-July of 2003, to 7.5 billion.
