Russian government to eliminate obligatory grain quality control

The government of Russian Federation is going to eliminate obligatory grain quality control in grain sales and purchases. According to PRIME-TASS news agency, such decision was made during the governmental committee meeting on August 31.

The agency informed that the committee had considered the activities of the 76 bread inspectorates, which provide this control, to be excessive. According to the committee's decision, there will remain just one inspectorate, providing quality control while grains are purchased for the state stock.

Nevertheless, private organisations will reserve the right to order grain quality expertise during grain sales/purchase transactions.
