Grape got up dramatically in Lviv

The monitoring of the retail prices carried out by Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP) showed that there is nearly no locally produced grape on the markets of Lviv oblast. Sergiy Havryshev, Market Information Specialist of Lviv AMP office informs that past week an average price on grape increased nearly on USD $ 0.94/kg. At present moment grape in Lviv is sold for USD $ 2.26-2.83/kg; the imported commodity of a rather high quality is mostly supplied.

For information: more than 80% of Ukrainian grape are produced in two regions: AR Crimea and Odesa oblast. Zakarpattya oblast, that is neighboring to Lviv oblast, also has large acreage of grape producing lands. At the same time the potential for a further extension of table grape varieties production is rather high in the region, especially taking into consideration its close location to Lviv oblast as a huge sales market.
