Ukraine's poultry breeding industry will increase usage of grain in 2005
In 2005 consumption of grain by Ukrainian poultry breeding industry will increase by 100,000 tonnes due to a forecast increase in production of poultry meat, the Head of Board of the Association "Poultry Breeders' Union of Ukraine" Olexandr Bakumenko has told reporters.
He said last year the industry had used 1.5 million tonnes of compound feeds. In 2005 the usage of feeds is going to reach 1.64 million tonnes. As far as the compound feeds contain 70 percent of forage grain, the consumption of the latter will increase from 1.05 million tonnes in 2004 to 1.15 million tonnes in this year.
