UZA initiates change of price formation for veterinary certificates for export of grain

Ukrainian Grain Association (UZA) is set to initiate government veterinary body to regulate price formation for veterinary certificates for export of grain,- Volodymyr Lapa said, Deputy Director General of UZA.

He emphasized that it is impossible to plan the logistics as services go up in price and regional veterinary hospitals quote different prices.

V. Lapa cleared out that today the cost of a veterinary certificate in Ukraine ranges from $1 to $2. The cost notably differs even within a region.

According to V. Lapa, to solve this problem it is necessary to establish a workgroup at State Department of Veterinary Medicine.

V. Lapa also emphasized the necessity to improve the system of serving-out veterinary certificates. According to existing legislature, any certificate verifies quality of 100 tonnes of grain, not more. So 2,000-3,000 tonnes shipment must have 20-30 certificates, even if it is uniform and has a common quality document.
