Ukroliyaprom initiates 17% export duty for rapeseed

Association Ukroliyaprom, which consolidates Ukrainian oil-extracting enterprises, initiates 17 percent export duty for rapeseed,- Deputy Director General of the Association, Stepan Kapshuk, said on February 24, 2005. According to his words, the bill has already been submitted to Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

He supposes this measure to give the opportunity for many enterprises to enable their capacities in the period when processing of old crop seeds is over and new crop seeds crushing not started yet. This period usually falls for the second half of summer.

Today in Ukraine 17 percent export duty for sunflower seeds is in force. Ukroliyaprom directorate considers that this helps to stabilize and develop oilseed market of Ukraine.
