Cabinet of Ministers to simplify grain export procedures
"The state intends to simplify the procedure of export loads clearance and is studying the possibility of reducing transportation and transhipment costs" - such a declaration was made by Deputy Agrarian Policy Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Melnik in his presentation at the 2nd International Conference "Black Sea Grain-2005" on March 15 in Kiev.
Mr. Melnik said the state did not intend to intervene with grain market functioning and to impose any kinds of limitations for exports of grain. He said the AP Ministry was going to expedite formation of "organised agrarian market" in Ukraine.
As it has been reported earlier, Ukrainian Grain Association has repeatedly applied to the Cabinet of Ministers and other governmental bodies with a request to sort out the issue of overrated tariffs for veterinary inspection and transportation services, related to grain exports.
According to APK-Inform forecast in the MY 2004/05 Ukraine will export about 11.5 million tonnes of grains, including some 4.3 million tonnes of wheat, 4.2 million tonnes of barley and 2.5 million tonnes of maize.
