Deficit for cabbage is not observed in Crimea
To the opinion of Alexandr Lekhno, Market Information Specialist of Crimean office, Agricultural Marketing Project, the supply of white cabbage is quite well on Crimean markets. There are great volumes of medium ripening stage cabbage; however, the size of the cabbage head is not larger than a huge red beet. As a result, price on such cabbage is not higher than USD $ 0.28/kg.
Late cabbage of a very good quality is sold for USD $ 0.41-0.45/kg in wholesale and 0.47/kg in retail trade. The supplied volumes are quite sufficient for this time of year. In Crimea the prices on this commodity seem to be stabilized on this level.
