Odesa oblast processors are ready to pay the record prices for cucumber
The Odesa oblast producers inform about the intense interest of the processing enterprises to contract signing on cucumber supply. This situation forces the interest of the producers to this crop and the consequent demand growth on seeds recorded by the representatives of the seed companies. The contract prices are offered by the large processors on the level of USD $ 0.75/kg of pickle cucumber (the cucumber length is 3-5 sm.). Earlier there was information about USD $ 0.95/kg of pickle and USD $ 0.28/kg of cucumber of up to 10 sm. length. However, to the opinion of many vegetable producers of Odesa oblast, these prices can not be considered as high because of a very great self cot of such cucumber production in the region.
