Odesa oblast farmers can not start planting vegetables in the open ground because of the insufficiently moisturized soil
The vegetable producers of Odesa oblast say that to the present moment the level of soil moisturizing is on the critically low level, as it was reported Dmitriy Chernyak, the Market Information Specialist of Odesa office, Agricultural Marketing Project. The soil is moisturized much lesser than in the same period past year. Many farmers are waiting for rain to start planting tomatoes in the open ground. They also mention the lower level of the average daily temperature that affects the plants' vegetation and may result in later ripening.
At the same time some farmers took an advantage of several warm periods and planted onion in the open ground in lowland; now they are reporting about first sprouts.
