In January-March Ukrainian ports shipped 1.5 mln t of grain cargoes

Volume of shipments of grain cargoes from Ukrainian sea ports in the first quarter of 2005 (January-March) amounted 1.6 million tonnes, which is 700,000 tonnes up from the same period last year, according to the data of SU Ukrmorport (State Union of Ukrainian sea ports).

Grains were shipped in the amount of 1.5 million tonnes, up 670,000 tonnes compared to the first quarter of last year. In the mention period grain exports made 1.3 million tonnes, which by 660,000 tonnes exceeds identical index of last year. Transit cargoflow of grains in January-March period this year increased 21,500 tonnes and totalled 184,000 tonnes.
