Early carrot appeared on the wholesale market in Kherson oblast
Today on the wholesale market "Kopani", Kherson oblast, the early carrot of local origin has been supplied for sale. As Roman Rybalko, the Price Monitoring Specialist of Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP) informed, the price on early carrot is USD $ 2.18/kg. The supply is insignificant now, but it will probably be extended in a couple of days. We can also expect that early carrot will meet a good enough demand on the background of very expensive carrot of past year harvest. The wholesale price on this commodity is fluctuating now on the level of USD $ 0.51-0.59/kg, and retail price - on level of USD $ 0.69-0.99/kg.
Past week there were some messages about the single supplies of early carrot on the retail markets on price of USD $ 0.2-0.29 apiece; but today this commodity appeared this year for the first time on the wholesale markets where the Agricultural Marketing Project is monitoring prices.
