The price on newly harvested garlic started to decrease rapidly
The price on garlic has been kept on the fairly high level for a long time; due to the newly harvested commodity the price should decrease soon. According to the results of today's wholesale price monitoring, during these days the supply of newly harvested garlic has grown very much on the wholesale market "Kopani", Kherson oblast. In its turn, this fact led to price drop, today it was recorded on the level of USD $ 0.59/kg. So, soon we can expect for the significant supply volumes of early garlic in other regions of Ukraine too, and the prices will decrease a little.
AMP information. According to the data of the official statistics, more than 30,000 tons of garlic is annually produced in Ukraine; the largest volumes account for Donetsk, Odesa, Kyrovograd and Kharkiv oblasts.
