Hail injured the plantings of onion, tomato and other crops in Razdolnenskiy rayon of AR Crimea

In some farms in Razdolnenskiy rayon of Crimea 50% of onion plantings have been damaged, other crops have suffered too, the greenhouses are destroyed. Hail happened on the 1st of June. Some other northern rayons of AR Crimea suffered as well. As one of the farmers said to the specialists of Agricultural Marketing Project, the tomato losses constitute 10-15% on his farm. It is possible that large onion acreage will have to be replanted.

Alexander Lekhno, the Market Information Specialist of Crimea office, Agricultural Marketing Project, states that hail was quite local and only partially covered the northern rayons of the peninsula. According to the specialist's opinion, the loss scale could hardly be evaluated right now, but we can expect the losses of onion and tomato harvest on 10-15% in Razdolnenskiy rayon of AR Crimea.
