Russia: export of 2004 crop grains to total 9 mln t

Russian exports of 2004 crop grains will total 9 million tonnes, informs Aleksey Gordeyev, Minister of Agriculture of Russian Federation.

Yet it is rather difficult to predict possible export volume of 2005 crop grain.

According to the Minister, domestic consumption of Russia in 2005/06 will make 60-65 million tonnes of grain and grain crop is expected to total 66-70 million tonnes. Nevertheless, Ministry of Agriculture expects Russia to hold its position as world exporter oа grains.
