The supply of cherry and apricot to Odesa markets has already started

This week first supplies of cherry and apricot were recorded on Odesa markets, offered on USD $ 0.49-0.69/kg and USD $ 0.98/kg respectively. The orchardists of Odesa oblast report about the general satisfactory state of cherry and apricot trees.

At the same time, from some regions the information comes that berries are being spoiled on sweet cherry trees (medium-early varieties - Melitopolskaya, Valeriy Chkalov, etc.) because of heavy rains in the period of ripening. The orchardists fear if the rainy weather is preserved, the sweet cherry producers will face even greater losses.
