Crops state on the second ten days of June improved
As a result of fallen rains and moderately warm weather in the most regions of Ukraine, vegetation conditions for most crops have turned for the better, weather centre of Ukraine informed.
The state of winter crops is estimated mostly as good and satisfactory. Only in a few southern and south-eastern areas winter crops are in unsatisfactory state due to earlier arid conditions. Heavy showers and squally winds caused lodging of plantings in some central and eastern regions.
The state of spring barley plantings, maize, millet and oats is estimated as good and satisfactory.
Condition of sunflower plantings is seen as mainly good. In the sunflower growing area moisture stocks are sufficient.
