The price decrease on tomato - twice during one day
On Wednesday the price on tomato went down to USD 0.1/kg on Kopani market, Kherson oblast. The minimal price was caused by the rapid growth of tomato supply on the market. According to the information provided by Roman Rybalko, the Wholesale Price Monitoring Specialist of the Agricultural Marketing Project, on Wednesday, July 27th, the price decreased about 50% - the average tomato price dropped down from USD 0.26/kg to 0.16/kg. The most expensive tomato varieties cost USD 0.56-0.6/kg on Tuesday; now they are sold on USD 0.3/kg.
To the specialists' opinion, this price decrease on the South of Ukraine should influence significantly the price on tomatoes in the other regions too.
