Kazakhstan stricken with highly pathogenous bird flue
In the period from July 20-30 a poultry breeding farm NAN, Pavlodar Oblast, Kazakhstan, had 600 head of gooses perished. In the course of laboratory examinations experts found antisubstances of highly pathogenous bird flue type A1.
All the poultry which had any contact with the infected ones was annihilated by burning. On the infected farm 2,300 heads of ducks and gooses were slaughtered after the disclosure of bird flue. The necessary disinfection works have been already done in the poultry breeding farm NAN.
The Emergency Department reported that the final resume of the analyses results will be announced after two weeks.
In the present time the village where the infection was found has been put to quarantine.
The five persons, which worked on the farm during poultry perishing, were examined and had no signs of infection.
The Emergency Department reported that during summer period the poultry was not slaughtered. So there are no grounds to expect the infection to spread over the territory of Kazakhstan.
In the current time special equipment for cars disinfection has been placed on Russia-Kazakhstan border as there is a supposition that bird flue virus was brought with feeds and eggs to Kazakhstan form Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia.
