Ukraine harvested 22 mln t of grain

According to operative data as of August 2, Ukraine's farmers collected 22.2 million tonnes of early grains and pulses. The crops have been harvested from 8.29 million hectares or 65 percent of forecast area, reports Agrarian Policy Ministry of Ukraine.

Wheat has been cut from 5.203 million hectares (78 percent of the forecast). The crop as of today has totalled 15.408 million tonnes at an average yield of 3.01 tonnes per hectare.

Barley harvest has been completed on 2.826 million hectares (63 percent). The farmers obtained 5.516 million tonnes at a yield of 2.09 tonnes per hectare.

Rapeseed is harvested from 122,900 hectares (59 percent of the forecast). The rapeseeds crop has totalled 201,400 tonnes. The yield has averaged 1.66 tonne per hectare.
