In July Ukrainian railways transported more grains to export destinations

In July 2005 Ukrainian railways transported to export destinations 210,680 tonnes of grain and grain processing products, which is 27 percent more than in July 2004, press-service of Ukraine's State Administration of Railway Transport (Ukrzaliznytsia) has informed.

Transits of grain loads through the territory of Ukraine by railway transport also increased to 66,540 tonnes from 20,590 tonnes in July 2004.

At the same time, inland transportation of grains in July decreased to 93,820 tonnes, which is 52.3 percent less than in the same month lat year. So did the volumes of imports, decreasing to 7,800 tonnes (-30.4 percent on year).
