Heavy shower in Simferopol did not injured agriculture

On the 19th 2005 the enormously forceful and abundant shower attacked Simferopol. The rain came to the city from west and literally "poured" on the capital of Crimea. During 1.5 hours the furious weather caused the increase of water level higher 70 sm in the rail station area; in some places the level of 1.5 m of water was observed. The traffic of the electrified transport was paralyzed, many tangles formed, people could not get home. During the next two days the workers of civil service have been clearing the city; the activities seem to take place for some days more.

The weather caused many problems to the civil service but not to the farmers. The majority of farms happened to be out of the shower zone, and the harvest did not suffered, according to the information provided by Alexander Lekhno, the Market Information Specialist of Crimean office, the Agricultural Marketing Project.
