Ministers of Russia and Morocco negotiated increase of farm products trade

According to Russian Informational Agency "Novosti", Russia's Agriculture Minister Aleksey Gordeyev has a meeting with Foreign Trade Minister of Morocco Mustafa Meshauri. The two ministers have negotiated increase of mutual farm products trade.

"The issue on the agenda was strengthening the trade cooperation," - Gordeyev said to the news agency after the meeting. "They (the Moroccan party) were speaking about exports of their agricultural products - mainly, citruses - to Russia, while were emphasizing increase of our grain exports to Morocco," he said.

According to Gordeyev, the mutual trade between the two countries had a huge potential. "I proposed to examine the ways of how to stimulate the increase of supplies on the part of the two governments", he said, adding that in could be possible to employ the mechanisms Morocco uses in its trade with the US, France and Turkey (they have agreements about free trading zones).
