Potato prices have been tending to increase steadily during the recent weeks. As for today they reached the top level for the recent years of AMP price observations. To this moment bulk potato costs not less than USD 0.32-0.4/kg. The analysts differ in opinion concerning the potato price to be set this year end or next year start; however, further price increase will take place for sure, as almost everyone thinks.
Large buyers such as supermarkets are facing serious problems now, unless they have cared to negotiate potato supplies before. Bulk potato is practically absent in the city.
