Ukraine banned poultry imports from Italy

State veterinary service of Ukraine has banned imports of live poultry and poultry products from Italy because of bird flu infection, registered in that country, Ukraine's State Veterinary Inspector Petro Verbytsky said in a statement Wednesday.

Earlier similar bans were introduced for poultry imports from Russia, Croatia, Rumania and Turkey.
