CA fruit storage technology gains popularity in Ukraine

This year controlled atmosphere (CA) produce storages are in growing demand. Large producers and wholesalers expressed interest to this technology in the previous years; in 2005 many of them were able to implement ideas. It meant one step forward to better supply of Ukrainian fruits on market in winter period.

Due to the fact that CA storages have been working in Ukraine already, the demand on this technology goes on growing, especially from the side of apple, pear, other fruit producers. That's why the Agricultural Marketing Project invited Yuri Calin, one of the most experienced CA specialists in CIS, to participate in the second international conference "Fruits and vegetables of Ukraine 2005". Mr. Calin is preparing a presentation specially for the event in which the advantages and disadvantages of the different produce storage technologies will be outlined.

In the last day of the conference, December the 7th 2005, the participants have a chance to listen to the presentation done by Pavel Baranski, one of well-known Polish CA experts, the owner and Director of Chlodnie KA firm. Pavel has been professionally working with the advanced technologies of fruit and vegetable storage for more than 10 years; he implemented many commercial projects in Poland and abroad. This year Pavel managed two commercial projects in Ukraine, he considers our country market to be very perspective.
