Demand on organic fruits and vegetables grows in USA
As to the latest surveys, the demand on organic produce goes on increasing rather rapidly in USA; though, this country is already the hugest consumer of organic food in the world. According to the recent study conducted by the organic supermarket chain Whole Foods Market, demand on organic produce increased 17% this year in the US.
More than 75% of Americans buy organic food, as the survey proves. 73% of consumers are interested in fruits and vegetables first of all. It is interesting to note that purity and safety of organic food are main factors which make people buy it. Organic produce is fresher; flavor is more pleasant and natural. Still, people can't afford buying organic fruits and vegetables too often because of too high price.
