Ukraine: President cancelled emergency regime in the Crimea

President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko has signed a Decree about cancellation since December 29 of emergency regime in the bird flu affected settlements of the Crimea.

At the same time, the President ordered the Council of Ministers of the Crimea, the Ministries of Agrarian Policy, of Health, for Emergency Situations and for Environment Protection "to safeguard implementation of the measures aimed at prevention of expansion of highly-pathogenic avian influenza and minimisation of the consequences of a possible flu pandemic".

Emergency situation regime on the bird-flu affected territory of the Crimea was introduced by Presidential Decree on December 3.
