Wholesale prices on fresh produce decreased after the New Year holidays in Lviv
According to the results of the daily wholesale price monitoring conducted by the Agricultural Marketing Project, the wholesale prices on fresh produce have not changed much since the end of 2005 on Kyiv wholesale market "Troyeschina"; the fresh produce prices decreased on "Shuvar" wholesale market in Lviv. White cabbage grew expensive both in Lviv and in Kyiv up to $ 0.33; greenhouse bell pepper increased in price too.
At the same time, the carrot prices decreased much (15-20%) on "Shuvar" market; now the carrot price difference constitutes $ 0.13/kg for Kyiv and Lviv wholesale markets. The price on greenhouse tomato, Pekinese cabbage, red beets and pear decreased in Lviv too. In Kyiv greenhouse tomatoes increased in price a little.
