Temperatures Warmed Up, but Root Crops Prices Continue to Increase

Despite of moderate temperatures and a small increased supply of root crops on market, the prices on these products continue to increase. Carrot prices are the most notable as the retail price increased by $0.10-0.30/kg. At the end of week carrot prices reached a record high for winter at between $0.58-0.98/kg. High-quality carrots are being purchased at $0.58-0.74/kg on the wholesale market. Frosts are expected again next week, so it appears we won't see a price decease on root crops in the near future.
