Daily wholesale mushroom, banana and citrus fruits prices - new service of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal

From now on the journal "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" starts monitoring daily wholesale prices on mushrooms (champignon and oyster mushroom), citrus fruits (orange, tangerine and lemon) and banana on two largest wholesale markets of Ukraine, "Shuvar" market in Lviv and "Farmer" market in Kyiv.

Right now the site visitors can see today's prices in the section "Daily wholesale prices", and the journal subscribers will get this information in the nearest weeks. Besides, weekly journal subscribers will have a full access to the assembled prices for the previous period that is rather important for trends definition and prognosis of price situation on market.

We'll point out that "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" becomes the first publication in Ukraine focusing attention on the problems of mushroom production sector. There is enough information about production technologies. But, until today it has been rather difficult to know anything about sales and the prices formed in the different regions of our country. In the nearest future "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal plans to include mushroom topic to the weekly published overviews of the produce market.

Moreover, "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" is ready to offer an innovational trading floor to all producers and buyers of mushrooms and other produce. Everybody interested can place there information about mushroom sales or purchase (and also vegetables, fruits and berries). This specialized trading floor is the most visited in CIS countries (up to 1,500 companies visit the web-site www.lol.org.ua daily). Information placement is free of charge (and, all information is checked out). The posted bids and offers are weekly printed in "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal. More than 3,000 of the most active and successful market players receive this publication, including the largest producers of the different regions of Ukraine, processors, wholesalers and even purchase managers of the supermarket produce sections.

Besides, "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" publishes weekly updated table on raw materials demanded by processing enterprises in the different regions of Ukraine; mushrooms are often required for pickling and other processing there. Using these tools, mushroom producers can simplify the sales procedure and choose the most affordable variant among market bids and offers.

Of course, the journal is primarily focusing on marketing as the main problem of mushroom producers; but the details of production technologies will be also covered. At present moment the editors are preparing an article series covering this topic; they also plan to participate in several seminars of mushroom producers.
