Due to AMP assistance the quantity of modern produce storages increases in Lviv oblast

In the framework of Grant program carried out by the Agricultural Marketing Project on the 7th of March 2006 an official opening of produce cold storage chamber will be held in ANASTASIA agricultural cooperative, which has been successfully working in Mostyska town in Lviv oblast for several years.

The main activities of the cooperative members are early vegetable production (tomato, cucumber, pepper, green onion, parsley, and dill), fruits (apple, pear, plum, peach, apricot, sour cherry) and berries (bilberry, currant, strawberry). A wide assortment, usage of modern varieties and advanced production technologies let the cooperative enter the market with the appealing quality products. Nevertheless, even quality produce used to be sold relatively cheap in mass harvesting season; it would meet an extremely great demand off season. Taking into account market trends, the cooperative members decided to concentrate efforts on market extension idea and purchased the premises of 124 square meters for storage chamber construction. Under the Project assistance they wrote a grant proposal for cold storage equipment, hosted a consultant on cold chamber equipment maintenance. Due to this the cooperative members could consider more carefully and thoroughly the offers of cold storage equipment purchase provided by "Alians", "Comfort Service", "Ukrkholod" companies, "Rema" plant. As a result, they chose for the optimal equipment set; in the framework of grant program it was purchased and installed in the cold storage chambers. You can see the efficiency of joint work on the opening ceremony. All the specialists working for this project implementation wish the cooperative success in the further activities. They are sure the members of ANASTASIA cooperative will be able to store quality produce for a long time, so that new attractive perspectives will help them work much better on the produce market of Ukraine.
