Vegetable prices remained stable in February

According to the results of retail price monitoring conducted by "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly journal, the prices on major vegetables remained stable in February. An average retail potato price has not practically changed, it is still about $ 0.54-0.56/kg. Less potato of poor quality is supplied now on market. An average cabbage retail price has not changed much too; it increased 1% past month, up to $ 0.57/kg. Bulb onion grew 1-2% in price, now the product costs in average $ 0.54/kg. Red beets and carrot prices noticeably increased in February. An average red beets price grew 9%, carrot grew 15% expensive. At the present moment an average retail carrot price is $0.65/kg on city markets.

Cucumbers cheapened due to the supplies done by the national greenhouses. Cucumber price decreased 15-20%. Tomatoes also cheapened 25-35%.
