Vegetable prices continued growing in the first decade of March - the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine

In the first decade of March the seasonal price increase on vegetable commodities continued in Ukraine, as it was reported by the PR and Mass Media Department of the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine.

According to the data of the price monitoring conducted by the state price control bodies, in the period from 03/01/2006 to 03/10/2006 the average price level on bulb onion increased the highest - on 1.9% (up to USD 0.54/kg). The prices on cabbage grew too - on 0.4% (up to USD 0.54/kg), red beets - on 0.4 % (up to USD 0.46/kg), carrot - on 1.8 % (up to USD 0.56/kg), and potato - on 0.8% (up to USD 0.5/kg).
