Prices for cabbage and carrot 2005 are growing in Simferopol

Wholesale prices for past year harvested cabbage and carrot increased much after May holidays in the capital of Crimea, according to the information provided by Alexander Lekhno, the Market Information Specialist of Crimean office, Agricultural Marketing Project, to "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal.

At the same time, the prices for early cabbage continue decreasing: the wholesale shipments of early cabbage are sold $1.27/kg (cabbage price decreased around 20% past week). The supplies of past year harvested cabbage continue reducing, the prices have increased $0.62-0.68/kg, or 28-35% during this week.

The wholesale carrot prices increased 22% from $0.88/kg to $1.07/kg. The supply of quality carrot insignificantly reduced.
