Ukrainian early potato is rapidly sold out

First shipments of national early potato have been supplied today to KOPANI market in Kherson oblast, according to the information provided by Roman Rybalko, the Wholesale Price Monitoring Specialist of the Agricultural Marketing Project. The sellers are not able yet to supply large shipments of early potato. Today early potato of medium size costs $ 2.74/kg. Ukrainian early potato has not been supplied yet to FARMER market in Kyiv.

We'd like to point out that early potato was supplied to KOPANY market approximately at the same time in 2005 for the price of $2.54-2.94/kg. But, the price decreased down to $0.58-0.98/kg by May 20th 2005.
