Strawberry season started in Zakarpattya

Strawberry season started in Zakarpattya. Local producers say that they have already harvested first strawberry shipments to be supplied soon to the regional supermarkets. Zakarpattya office of the Agricultural Marketing Project informed about the prognosed price for strawberry on level $3.9/kg.

Those producers harvested first strawberry who covered plantings with agrifibre and film. "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal informed that berry production is enhancing in Ukraine including Zakarpattya now.

Mass harvesting of field strawberry will start in a week so that significantly more consumers will be provided with this berry. Imported strawberry competes with the local product in Zakarpattya: it was sold all year round for $1.56/300 g container.
