Early pepper of Ukrainian origin is sold on KOPANI market

First shipments of early pepper were supplied by Ukrainian producers to KOPANI market in Kherson oblast, according to information provided by Roman Rybalko, the Wholesale Price Monitoring Specialist of the Agricultural Marketing Project.

Pepper costs around $3.33-3.52/kg. Pepper entrance to market happened one week later this year comparing to 2005. The price grew as well; first pepper cost $2.54-2.74/kg past year.

Pepper price is expected to go down during June. Past year the price declined three times during this period of time.

Only imported pepper is offered for sale in Kyiv today; the price for small shipments is $2.94-3.33/kg.
