Pekinese cabbage consumption increased thrice as high in Poltava oblast

According to information provided by large regional wholesalers to Yuri Konyaev, the Market Information Specialist of Poltava office, Agricultural Marketing Project, the sales volumes for special cabbage varieties have substantially grown in the oblast. Past season the population consumed more Pekinese cabbage. The demand for this commodity increased more than thrice. Retail sales contributed to it, as well as the purchases done by public catering enterprises. The latter business segment is developing very dynamically in Poltava; it has not consumed Pekinese cabbage before.

The wholesalers forecast the practically equal price for Pekinese cabbage and white cabbage in the season of active ripening. The reason is that the production volumes and imported volumes cover the demand over.
