Pear supply has rapidly increased on FARMER market in Kyiv

According to information provided by Anatoliy Yarovoy, the Wholesale Price Monitoring Specialist, the increase of pear supply has been recorded today on the wholesale produce FARMER market in Kyiv. If compared with the beginning of this week, the supply has increased 30-50%. The main supplies of pears are done from the western oblasts of Ukraine.

In line with the supply increase, the price for these commodities has decreased 20-25%. Today the pear prices are around $ 0.98-1.96/kg; past week they were within the limits of $1.37-2.74/kg. The price reduction is also caused by absence of imported pears for sale; earlier this commodity was sold in the upper price segment.
