Innovation solutions in the sphere of optical sorting of fruits and vegetables will be presented by English company SORTEX (Buhler Group) in Kyiv
English company SORTEX has confirmed its participation in the third international conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2006. Open market" to be held on the territory of the National Complex "Expocenter of Ukraine", Kyiv, on December 5th-6th 2006. This company belongs to Buhler company group; it is one of the leaders of the world market of fruit and vegetable sorting equipment. In the framework of the conference the representative of SORTEX company will present the innovation solutions for optical sorting of frozen fruits and vegetables.
All the produce business players - the conference participants - will have a unique opportunity to study the options of new modification of SORTEX K sorting equipment which full-scale production started in October 2006. According to the manufacturer's information, various designs of SORTEX K are produced depending from the application target and the product for sorting. New machine develops all best functions of NIAGARA, the previous model of color-sorting equipment. At the present moment more than 200 color-sorting NIAGARAs are successfully working in various regions of the globe. New machine SORTEX K is manufactured with belt conveyers for fresh products and with chutes for frozen products.
A new important solution is that the technology of Powerslide™ system let the workers put cameras and background lamps in the front and back parts, but not above and under the product flow as before. As a result, there is no need to clean the sorting line additionally to keep it working. "The greater requirements of the consumers and stricter regulations are the reality of each developed market now. So, the rules of safety measures and food staff purity have become as rigorous as never before. These factors were the main impulse to develop the newest SORTEX K technology", Bruno Kilshow says, the Executive Director of SORTEX Ltd.
The electronic sorter SORTEX К is wider than its predecessor NIAGARA machine. So, the output has increased 10-15% in the framework of the smaller catchments area. Each version has four newly designed cameras Sortex of high-scale detection ability; they easily deal with any difficulty in the registration of the object's palette. New cameras accurately sort out fruits with the minimal defects in color: the dramatically increased color sensitivity benefits much. The machine for the sorting of frozen products has two cameras of InGaAs technology in addition to standard four highly-sensitive cameras. This technology uses the ultraphotic spectrum; so, the capacity to detect and sort out the foreign particles reached a brand new level.
All the conference participants will have an opportunity to see the mentioned sorting machines and to study the specifics of their operation. Also, the participants will obtain the detailed handout materials about sorting and other types of the post harvest handling, storage and packing of the produce commodities. There will be an opportunity to discuss the opportunities of cooperation with the representatives of SORTEX company.
