According to information provided by the Market Information Specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal, garlic of Ukrainian origin enjoys the increased demand among the buyers. The market players explain this fact by good quality of the national garlic. At the present moment the wholesale companies sell local garlic for $1.66-2.15/kg depending from the shipment volume.
The sellers of the imported garlic have not complained yet on ill demand because the supply of Ukrainian garlic is still limited on market. The prices for garlic of Chinese origin average to $1.17-1.56/kg.
