In season 2006/07 world prices for apples will be lower comparing to the previous season

According to information FreshPlaza, the total apple production will constitute less than 60 mln. tons in 2006 in the world. The global apple production overtopped the level of 60 mln. tons in 2004 for the first time in the history; the production data continued growing in 2005. So, the year 2006 will be the least yielding for the previous three years.

To the analysts' opinion, the key influence on world prices will be done by information about the volumes of apples fit for fresh export from China. At the same time, the most part of forecasts shows a certain supply decrease; to the traders' opinion, this fact will result in the growth of apple prices in the world.

The leading experts of the produce business will speak on the price perspectives for vegetables and fruits in Ukraine and world markets during the conference "Fruits and Vegetables 2006. Open Market", the largest specialized international event in the Eastern Europe. We remind that the deadline to register for participation in the conference is today.
