Demand for exotic fruits continues growing in Ukraine
The sales of exotic fruits significantly grow as winter sets, especially before the New Year holidays. This season is not an exception. Pomegranate and persimmon are one of the key sales items this season on market.
The consumers' interest to these fruits is gradually growing; seeing that, the vendors lift up the sales prices. They report about constantly growing sales. As of today, the prices for pomegranate have reached the level of $ 1.96-2.35/kg, persimmon - $2.15/kg. Medium and low quality produce is sold for the minimal prices; there are more than enough products of poor quality in turnover now. It concerns persimmon the most as this fruit perfectly stands frosts and rapidly perishes in higher temperatures which have been observed in Ukraine for a pretty long time. To speed up the sales of low quality persimmon, vendors sell produce for $1.17-1.37/kg.
Talking about good quality pomegranate and persimmon, the specialists forecast that the prices for these products will continue increasing till the end of New Year holidays at minimum.
