Demand for mushrooms dramatically decreases after the holidays

The specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal, the weekly periodical of the produce business of Ukraine, point out that the demand for mushrooms has dramatically decreased after the holidays. Respectively, the sales volumes have reduced too on market. At the same time, mushroom supply went down too, as most producers initially planned to perform maximum sales during the holidays.

Since the previous week the prices for champignon have decreased in average $0.11-0.19/kg on the wholesale FARMER market in the capital of Ukraine. There have been no oyster mushrooms for sale recently despite of the existing demand for this type of the product.
