Ukraine: white cabbage has got 25% more expensive during two weeks

According to the results of the wholesale price monitoring conducted by "Agrooglyad: Fruits and Vegetables" journal, the wholesale prices for white cabbage have increased on average 25% during the two recent weeks in Ukraine. The price growth was more significant in the central and eastern oblasts; the prices grew insignificantly up in the western region of the country.

At the same time, the specialists see no serious reasons for the price growth for white cabbage on the market. The stocks of this product are at least sufficient to cover the demand till the beginning of the new season. Also, the further price growth for white cabbage can stimulate the beginning of the cabbage supplies from Poland. The excessive stocks of white cabbage are recorded in Poland; the wholesale price for this product is twice-thicie as low now in the country than in Ukraine.
